Ever since I discovered rose water about two years ago (here is the kind I use), I’ve been hooked. It’s such a great, natural way to tone any unwanted redness and give your skin a little break from harsh chemicals. I always have such a hard time throwing away roses, so I try to make the most out of them. I wouldn’t recommend going out and buying a dozen to solely do this (because that would be pretty expensive), but I like to do it with roses I have already received, once the leaves on the stem start getting dry.
Step 1: Gather petals from 3-5 roses.
Step 2: Place them in a pan and cover with about 1½ cups of water
Step 3: Bring to a boil and then let simmer for about 5 minutes.
Step 4: After cooling, fill ice cube tray with one petal and the rose water.
Step 5: Freeze overnight and glide on face for cooling and toning.
