The inspiration ^^^ by Lisa Garcia
I’ve been admiring the work of Lisa Garcia for a couple months now and I finally got around to making an inspired piece. Can’t wait to hang it in the new apartment!
You will need:
+ 2 shades of yarn
+ Wooden skewer sticks
Step 1: Bind three wooden skewer sticks together by tying two small pieces of yarn around the outer edges.
Step 2: Cut (roughly) a 2 feet piece of yarn; set aside. This piece will be used to measure the rest of the fringe.
Step 3: Cut additional pieces the same size and set aside.
Step 4: Take a single piece of yarn that you’ve cut and tie it in a knot around the binded wooden skewers. Once you’re happy with the placement, double knot.
Step 5: Continue this process with each strand of yarn. Once you’ve hit the 1/3 mark, switch to your second color of yarn.
Step 6: Once the skewers are no longer visible, cut the fringe into an upside-down “V” shape (so, ^) by measuring the center of the fringe and cutting towards that.
